Parent Volunteers

Parent volunteers are vital to Plainfield's success. We are a comparatively small school, and have historically not received significant additional government funding to carry out our mission as a school. Having parents on our campus during school hours helps us to accomplish our work with greater effectiveness. Parents mostly take part as classroom helpers, classroom tutors, field trip chaperones, and volunteer supervisors during lunch, however we encourage help in any form.

Are you interested? The first step is to contact your child's teacher to find out how you can help then contact our front office.  After we enter your name, email and phone number on our district's volunteer list, you will receive an email with a registration link.

The application process includes:
  1. A completed volunteer form (with attached vaccination card, if applicable)
  2. Negative tuberculosis (TB) results attached to the volunteer orm
  3. Fingerprinting (fee waivers will be available for families who quality for Free & Reduced Price Meals)
  4.  Be fully vaccinated OR have a negative COVID test within 7 days of your day to volunteer

Fully vaccinated means a person has received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines. Booster shots are not required to be considered "fully vaccinated"

For those who choose COVID testing, the test must come from either COVID Clinic or another testing provider, such as Healthy Yolo Together. We are currently not accepting home testing kits for volunteering purposes.

Volunteering at school may not begin until individuals are fully clearance (you will receive an email from our district staff).

Thanks for your willingness to help Plainfield students succeed!
